Answer Man: Time is running out for the Doctor Clock
Tags: Answer Man, I just saw the sign that said the medical center and Jewelry goes store and Watch bankrupt. When that happened, and when it is your last day?
Rick Townsend began the poster a few weeks ago and will close the door for the last time for a few days after Christmas - possibly earlier if stocks run business is about to end.
When time runs out, it will be a long trip somewhere to get your watch repair, as Rick shop at 114 First Avenue. S.E. Is the only full service repair shop in town for a while.
It has been in the jewelry business for nearly 40 years and began his career in his hometown of Charles City, Iowa "I worked for my father when I was 10 years behind the counter, and now I'm 62 - so after 52 years of being behind a desk, I'm thinking maybe it's time to start a new chapter in my life, "he says.
His shop in Brackenridge building is open for almost 22 years. It has been a lot of changes in the jewelry business and the clock all the time, but despite what you may hear, there will always be a market for replica watches and repair those states.
"The watches will always be around because it is in paragraph fashion," he says. "Many of my clients well in the 25 - 35 age range."
Customers wondering where they will be for repairs watches. While a few local shops to change the battery for you, I am not aware of any shops that something like repairs. New watches are a lot of electronics, but there are major repairs can be made by local artisan. Rick says he could do some light repairs after the store closes, but is quick to say that "a full-fledged watchmaker", which used to be a licensed profession in Minnesota.
"It really bothers me that no one else in town is doing something similar to what we are doing, renovation and repair," he says. "No one can even recommend."
If you are aware of any other swiss replica watches repair service throughout the area, let me know, because I'm sure that many of the friends of Dr. Watch the request.
"There is great demand for a person in this town to do what we do," says Rick. "We will lose. Did anyone else did for a while."
